Dream or Nightmare?

 The last book of the Bible, Revelation, can be a bit scary.

Sure it's full of action and adventure, but there's lots of nasty stuff too.....plagues, diseases, battles, demons, death, destruction, rain and hail mixed with blood and plenty more nail biting bits. 
The stuff of nightmares really.


But in amongst it all there are these beautiful verses in Revelation 7:17 - "...For the Lamb at the centre of the throne will be their shepherd; He will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."


Ahhhhh! Jesus.
The Lamb - He is the sacrifice who took my place and paid the price of my salvation.
Centre of the throne - the most holy One deserving of praise and honour, the one born to rule an eternal, everlasting Kingdom; the One born to rule in my life now.
Shepherd - caring for us, providing all we need, protecting us
Lead them - He knows the way
Springs of living water - no other can provide the refreshment and the strength we need to keep on keeping on.

Ahhhhhh! Father.
"(He) will wipe away every tear from their eyes." What a day that will be.....no more tears, sickness or pain. In His presence there will only be joy and wonder.
